On my Marfa trip, I went through the town of Alpine, TX. I found it quite a bit more interesting, visually speaking.

Last week I made a trip to Marfa, TX and I spent one of the evenings out at the Marfa Mystery Lights viewing area. I met a few people, and shot a few different images. So far this is the only one I’ve gotten back from processing. The other will be 4×5, but I imagine it will be similar. Both were 30-minute exposures, and the stars in the sky were stunning. It was almost completely pitch black (or so it seemed) during this one, except for those stars and, of course, the Marfa Lights you see in the lower right-hand corner.

I’ll let you read about them on Wikipedia, but they were eerie to say the least.
