Red Light Ticket

The day after my 28th birthday, I apparently ran a red light in Elk Grove Village, IL on the way to Ikea. Yay. Incontrovertible proof above.

We all knew it was only a matter of time before the pickering vehicle was caught breaking the law. You must have been in a hurry to get some fine swedish furniture.

I always thought it would be us going out in a blaze of glory. But an automated fine?

Alas, we were actually taking a friend to get some fine swedish furniture. And had we only taken the tollway, it would’ve never happened. 80¢ or $100? I’ll never make that mistake again.

but officer — that wasn’t me driving the car — a man jumped in and ran off with it and left it down the street at the walmart… for real, mr officer!

that SUCKS! — I’d be a little more than upset if I get a ticket this way…

Psh, that was what we like to call a “rolling stop”. I do that all the time, totally not illegal as far as I’m concerned.

(I’m so glad they haven’t activated the traffic cameras here yet)
