Lady in the Field

Lady in the Field

I bet you didn’t think you’d wake up to find a new entry (finally!) on BeyondMonochrome. I apologize for not updating at all during the month of November. This photo was taken on Thanksgiving day at a park in Cedar Park. I didn’t know this lady.

I will soon be purchasing the Hasselblad 500CM that I used to shoot the photos I’ll be featuring here for the next few days. I love Hasselblad.

Now I just need the following:

Maybe need is too strong a word. Well, for the last two at least. My birthday is December 5th, so maybe I should just link to my B&H Wishlist.

It is nice to see a new image (my cookie had expired!), but it’s always worth the wait. I envy you the Hassie, once I get back to Toronto I’ll pick up a mf scanner and post a lot more film. I’ve been eyeing a kiev 88 but I think a real Hassie is out of my league :)

Definitely get the Hasselblad, Miles. From most accounts I’ve heard, the Kiev isn’t even close in terms of quality. I imagine the difference is like using a Holga versus a Nikon F5.

haha..not a bad b&h wishlist, i am lucky my new university supplies us with darkroom gear, but that’s part of the reason why i chose to transfer here i guess. the image has interesting composition. i like the way the human element is breaking into the lighting. nice work, and welcome back to posting!

Hmm, that’s quite a difference Walker ;) I’ll have to think about affording it…

Is that Brushy Creek Lake Park just off Parmer? I didn’t know it could be so beautiful.

Indeed it is, Jennifer. And, Jennifer Barnes… how do I know your name? Maybe I’m just thinking of the UT Basketball Coach or something. Hmm…
