Another shot from post-Hurricane Rita. I think I prefer this one.

I agree. It’s also feels a bit more positive somehow. I really like the tone too.

yes, i like the positive aspect of it since he is as tall as the trees….and yes, very nice tone.

    stunning……

Is it supposed to be a postitive shot though? I think both work, it depends on the angle you want to go with. At first glance, I liked the first post form this set more.

I love the tone, too. Any photoshop there or is the tone 100% natural?

  6. Walker Says:

In this case, it’s Photoshop. But it reflects, almost exactly, what I would do to the print in the darkroom.

Reminds me of the film ‘tigerland’.

I don’t know if it’s “supposed” to be positive or not, i think you set that view. It’s just what i get out of it, since what i see is something like, survival through the elements.

This is really neat… Though I almost wish that the subject’s pants stood out more from the backrgound — I feel like it’s getting lost — though he is wearing camouflage, after all.
Nice to see someone using a Graflex (and not just collecting them).

  15. Walker Says:

Yeah, I agree Jordan. His pants appear to get lost, but on the right monitor it’s not a problem, and it’s fine in print as well. Yet another downfall of the web.
