You use shadows, and that’s super, they really do what they are supposed to in this shot. I wish I knew the words to convey what this shot gives me, about the only thing I can say, where you might understand, is – this photo has character. The mixture of ages, motions, lights, and the lack of, really something. I was gonna get a Cannon Elan once, but settled for a Minolta X700 instead, and am very happy with it. Why are the blues in some of your photos so saturated?
It’s funny, at first glance I thought: Venice. Obviously Chicago is not Venice, but it’s what first came to my mind for some reason. Nice shot.
I love the way the light shines upwards and the composition pulls tugs my eye sweepting along that lighted blue … beautiful!

It’s most likely the type of film I was using. I can’t remember what that was, at the moment.
